I’m sure every travel writer and blogger had these very thoughts when they first started their journey… “Why not? I have great information to share!” This is a great time in my life to start writing about my travel experiences and advice. I am blessed to travel for my real job about 25 weeks of the year as a Caddie for Professional Golfers on Tour.
I love to travel, but I prefer to travel smart! I have accumulated a great number of miles and points in different loyalty programs. At the moment I have 15+ credit cards and my credit score has never been higher. I read points and miles blogs every day and I only sign up for a credit card when I know it’s offering its highest sign up bonus it has ever offered.
Travel isn’t cheap by any means and I do spend a lot of money with certain hotels and airlines. But by maximizing loyalty points I can fly around the world in first class while staying in a suite in the best hotels imaginable for basically nothing and that’s exciting. This is a hobby for me but it’s also a job. It consumes hours of my day staying up to date on what’s going on in the hotel and airline industry. But to say the least, it is certainly an exciting time in my life. I can pick up my bags tomorrow and fly to Maldives, Bora Bora, Tokyo or whatever exotic location I want just by maximizing my loyalty points. What’s not to love about that?
I look forward to sharing my travel reviews with you all.

I was lucky that when I was young my parents took us everywhere with them, trips to colourful Cozumel, the sandy shores of Belize, quiet mountain towns in the summer where we rode our bikes as fast as we could down dirt roads and even fishing in the lakes of our own small southern town seemed like a world away to me back then. From those trips of my youth the love of travel seeped in, got in my blood and found a permanent place in my heart.
This wanderlust that took root would also permeate my professional path as I forged my way in the photography world and parlayed that into a career that has spanned 12 years. As the old adage goes; “If you love what you do then you will never work a day in your life.” And for me that holds true. I cover professional sports as well as entertainment and food & lifestyle assignments that have taken me all over the world.
With the help of my partner in travel, we hope to share some of that fervour for the places we see and stay, to the things that inspire us with the rest of you out there that are in search of some savoir-faire.

While my wife and I don’t have jobs that allow us to travel nearly as much as Kevin, we love it just as much as he does. I’ve had the blessing of traveling to many places that many people have only dreamed about and I am grateful for every second of it. My favorite destination I’ve ever visited is Florence, Italy, but I love all of Italy that I’ve seen.
Dining is, without a doubt, my favorite pastime! The love of excellent food and fine wines is something Kevin and I have in common and through a great friendship have shared for many years. Kevin has introduced me to the world of travel rewards and it has made a big difference in the destinations we choose and how we choose to get there. We encourage you to enhance your travel experiences as well.
I’m not an editor by trade, but I love travel, food and wine. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences with you and look forward to your feedback.
